"Excuse the mess. The children are making memories."
All children must be at the Nursery by 8:30 am. For the safety of each child, the gate will remain locked beyond 8:30 am. Punctuality is vital as being late and missing out on part of their daily routine can be very upsetting for a child. Therefore, do not have your child experience an unnecessary late arrival. If you foresee that you will be late for whatever reason, kindly call the Nursery and inform our Receptionist ahead of time.
For those families that require an earlier start to the child’s day, we offer a “Breakfast Club”. Families that need this additional service may send a healthy and nutritious breakfast for their child and bring them in starting at 7:30am. The Breakfast Club Coordinator will ensure to welcome and encourage the child to have a positive start to their day. At 8:00am the child will be accompanied to their classroom.
All children must be picked up during dismissal time promptly. Dismissal time is from 12:15pm to 12:30pm. Early dismissals are disruptive to your child’s day and to all the other children attending our Nursery. If families require an early pick up through the course of the day, kindly call the Nursery and inform our Receptionist ahead of time. PLEASE MENTION and IDENTIFY who will pick up your child. If someone other than a parent picks up the child (e.g. aunts, uncles, grandparents) they must have a written note and a proper I.D. The Nursery will always call to confirm the identity of the adult picking up the child.
Extended Day Programme:
We have an extended day program available for those children that need to stay at the nursery beyond 12:30pm. Families that need this additional service have an option of leaving their child here until 2:00 pm, 5:00pm or 6:00pm. During our Extended Day Program we aim to create a ‘home environment’ for the children in which they can explore, learn, relax and socialize.
Our Schedule for the Extended Day Programme:
12:30pm - It’s lunch time!
The children will have their lunch with their teachers. After eating, they will brush their teeth and change their clothes. Kindly ensure that your child always has an extra set of clothes, as well as a toothbrush and toothpaste that are to be kept at school.
1:30pm to 3:00pm - Naptime
At 1:30pm the classroom teachers will take the children to the Afternoon Programme Coordinator. Then it’s time to rest. The children that are not sleeping will be encouraged to take part in quiet activities.
3:00pm - Snack time
The children will practice good table manners while eating a healthy and nutritious snack along with their friends. All food should come from home.
3:00pm to 5:00pm - Activity Time
The children will participate in various outdoor/indoor activities. These include, but are not limited to the following: Arts & Craft activities; being creative with playdough and sand; Music & Movement sessions; exploring the indoor play area and our supermarket role play corner and using various outdoor materials & equipment, such as: bikes, slides, swings, balls and the trampoline.
5:00 pm - Supper Club Begins
The children that stay at the Nursery until 6:00pm will eat their dinner or will be served a light snack (as per the family’s instruction). This will be followed by a quiet activity such as: story time, puzzles or colouring/drawing.
Academic School Year:
The Academic School Year consists of three terms. We are open from Sunday to Thursday. At the end of each term children may participate in our WINTER/SPRING/SUMMER Camps. In other words, we are open throughout the year except on weekends and Islamic holidays. Our Parents will always be notified in advance regarding closures and holidays.
